Stacey has a passion for clay, and works from her Whangarei home, where she has her studio. She is diverse in her subject matter and use of colors as you can see in her sculptural ladies and the whimsical garden art she creates.
"I try to employ in my art a unique and especially beguiling happiness by fabrication, a self-enclosed realm of meaningful awareness. There is a little world, which is made of explicit enjoyment as its goal.
In nature, I see consummation, but I never know in advance whether my search is realistic under the circumstance of my art practice. I do, as I feel, what my senses tell me what is right and what I feel of my time that needs to be explored, stretching it to its limits- of mind, body and soul."
