Join the team at Brisbane’s Iconic Red Hill Art Gallery - Casual Sales Consultant Role
Do you have a love for art, are a natural storyteller and can close a sale like no other? We’re looking for a dynamic Sales Consultant to help bring our gallery’s prestigious collection to life and share the stories behind every piece with our visitors.
About the Role: As a Sales Consultant, you’ll be the bridge between our artwork and our customers. You’ll engage visitors, help them connect with our collections, and offer expert advice on our pieces and the artists. Your role will involve providing a memorable, personalised experience that ignites a passion for art while driving sales in a high-end gallery environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Share the stories, history, and inspiration behind our artwork to engage and inspire visitors
- Assist in selecting the perfect piece for our customers’ homes or collections
- Build strong relationships with art lovers, collectors, and new clients
- Handle customer inquiries and ensure a seamless purchase experience
- Assist in maintaining the gallery space to ensure it remains visually captivating
- Support gallery events, exhibitions, and artist launches with sales initiatives
- Create content for social media accounts to highlight art pieces, collection launches and artists who visit the gallery.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven sales experience, ideally in a high end industry of considered purchases.
- A genuine love and appreciation for art.
- Energetic, positive attitude with a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
- Flexible availability to work weekends and during gallery events.
- Assist with gallery tasks such as physically installing artworks, exhibition preparations, and maintaining an impeccable space.
- Proficiency with creative online software platforms including Shopify, Canva, Photoshop, client databases, and sales systems is highly desirable. A strong understanding of technology and electronic systems will give you an edge in this role. Training is available for the right candidate.
- Availability to work on a casual basis, 2 to 4 days per week. Gallery hours are 10am - 4pm, 7 days a week.
