For seven years, Max Butler travelled Australia in his van Morrison taking hundreds of photos of the countryside. He now turns these into oil paintings, calling them all "My Country" and numbering them in order of execution. They include paintings of the outback, the desert, northern canefields, Tasmanian lavender fields, mountains and beaches of Australia. His paintings are a favourite among tourists who take them home as a memory of their holiday. Max hopes that they will provide happy memories of places collectors have been to in his country.
