I like working in diverse styles and embrace the said work on the day, mostly working 'alla prima' all in one go. Within my art practice I enjoy exploring intuitive mark making using various materials through the processes of drawing and painting. I often work using direct observation of still life subjects in my studio or work outdoors enjoying available light, 'en plein air'.
I aim to express a personal, visual dialogue of my ongoing learning process within art making.
I have a strong background working with glass as an artistic medium, with glass art pieces enjoyed by many collectors worldwide. I have however, shifted my art practice entirely to working on 2D surfaces such as paper, canvas and timber as a means of exploration of line, form, colour and story.
