Christine Porter, printmaker and watercolourist, has artwork in many public, private and corporate collections globally including the National Gallery of Australia, the Brisbane City Council and the permanent collection of the National Watercolour Museum in Mexico City. A full time artist since 1990, Christine practice has taken her throughout eastern Australia, across the Tasman and around the world.

Christine Porter lives in Lismore, New South Wales, Australia, working from her studio there, as well as in more remote areas of New South Wales and Queensland. Career highlights include completing a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Southern Cross University, receiving the prestigious McGregor Fellowship for overseas travel in 2006, and being awarded more than 150 art prizes.

Her work is held in major collections, including the National Gallery of Australia. Working primarily in watercolour, she brings rural Australia to life through her evocative storytelling, with a particular focus on the iconic Australian shearing shed.
