I was invited to participate in a an exhibition which had a floral theme. My early reluctance was very quickly replaced with fascination as I reflected on Rosie’s flower obsession - her garden and flower collecting and foraging them in the wild , in the bush and beach areas where she lived. So I took my paint and easel to Rosie’s garden, and captured the flowers my way and her way, transfixed by their colour form and beauty.
