I wanted to celebrate the vibrant palette of the early 1960s, where colourful canvas beach umbrellas became iconic symbols of the Australian seaside. I was drawn to the bold geometric patterns and striking contrasts. It takes one back to lying on a beach towel on a hot summer's day, gazing skyward.

This artwork is currently being held on exhibition in the Gallery and is able to be collected at the completion of the exhibition.
