Sun Drenched celebrates the carefree spirit of an endless summer. What I loved painting about this artwork was that fabulous Hawaiian straw hat that was iconic post-war times. It symbolised the vacation boom and resort holidaying of the 1950’s coupled with mid-century bathing suit glamour.
