Lisa Lee is a Queensland based fine artist working and residing on the Sunshine Coast, Australia.

Her works predominantly feature women in flamboyant, haute couture fashion, symbolising the melodrama and theatrics that often surface in everyday life. Her loose signature style is marked with painterly drips and a strong sense of serendipity. Balanced with her fine art skills of embellishing the smaller details into her works.

These feminine figurative paintings often highlight and make commentary on her own thoughts, experiences or observations. Lee has simply looked a little closer to home and found intrigue in the ordinary.

"I am a mother of one very lovable, spirited and strong-willed little girl. As most parents would relate, sometimes we relish in every moment of parenthood, soaking up those very special times or just dream of escaping to another planet entirely.

I am definitely an emotional painter. My paintings can often have a quiet humour about them or they can be a little more pensive and communicate a deeper personal life experience.’
