JULIE WHITEHEAD IS BACK FOR HER SECOND SOLO EXHIBITION AT RED HILL GALLERY
Julie's art is about energy, beauty, colour, and movement. Her love for art started from a young age. Her mother’s vibrant, colourful garden was the starting point of her interest and passion for beautiful flowers. Julie also names her love for classical ballet as an influence on her work. Captivated by the dance, movement, drama, colour and precision that went into every step, Julie embodies this in her painting style.
"I am passionate about painting florals as they are so sensual, fragile, delicate, like the peony’s I particularly love to paint. I find myself drawn to them as they remind me of the tutus I used to wear as a ballet dancer. Their petals are like exquisite layers of fabric interwoven, soft, delicate and beautiful." ~ Julie Whitehead
