This painting was Inspired by David Hinchliffe’s “Two to the Valley,” which captured Lisa Curry at the Valley Pool. She is one of our most famous swimmers, competing and in both Commonwealth and Olympic races and is the only Australian swimmer to have held Commonwealth and Australian records in every stroke except backstroke.
I loved this photo because it captured her power and indomitable spirit.
