    The Red Hill Gallery ‘Kidz Kollectiv - Young Emerging Art Show’ encourages children ages 5-14 years old to explore their imaginations and express themselves through the incredible world of art.

    Children are invited to create an original artwork in any medium or art form of their favourite ‘person, place or thing’.

  • HOW TO ENTER:

    1. Create an original artwork in any medium or art form of your favourite ‘person, place or thing’.

    2. In 50 - 100 words, tell us what inspired you to this particular ‘person, place or thing’ and what it means to you.

    3. Take a photo of your artwork (or ask your parents) and submit your digital image of your original artwork.

    20 finalists will be chosen and invited to exhibit in our gallery for the exhibition opening on Saturday 26th October, 2024.

    A finalist will be judged and chosen to receive the following prize:

    1. Your artwork exhibited at Red Hill Gallery from 26th October 2024.

When do submissions close?

Online submissions will be open from Wednesday 1st May to Monday 30th September, 2024.

What medium do you accept?

All mediums are welcome

What prizes are there?

20 finalists will be chosen and invited to exhibit in our gallery for the exhibition on Saturday 26th October, 2024.

What happens to my artwork?

Please note that the submission of a proposal does not constitute a contractual relationship with Red Hill Gallery, and the Gallery is under no obligation to select any of the proposals received. Successful applicants will be notified within 1 week after the deadline closes.  

The gallery will hold your artwork on premise during the exhibition and return it to the artist at the completion of the exhibition.

The artwork is not for sale during the exhibition.

What age do you have to be?

The competition is open to all children aged 5-14 who live in Brisbane.

What is the topic?

Create your own work of art that portrays your favourite ‘person, place or thing’.

Please make sure it is your own work. Tracing, or having a parent or anyone else work on any part of your entry is not allowed.

Can I visit the gallery?

Yes! We are open 7 days a week and you are welcome anytime!
