He won the Wynne Prize in 1969 and 1985 and the Archibald Prize in 2005. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eEtching was an important part of Olsen’s practice. His early printmaking experience at Atelier 17 in Paris was followed by a renewed involvement in the medium with fellow artist Clifton Pugh around 1970. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHis limited-edition etchings on paper explore waterways, birds, animals and the pleasures of everyday life. Combining lively detail with a sense of curiosity, they offer an intimate encounter with Olsen’s imaginative world.
